At Headingley Stadium, Christmas is about more than festive parties and celebration – it’s about community, creativity and giving people a platform to shine. This year, our Christmas brochure tells a special story, brought to life through the talent of a young local artist.
As part of our commitment to supporting local creativity, we partnered with students from Benton Park School and launched a festive artwork competition. The aim was simple: to give young artists the opportunity to showcase their imagination while contributing to something truly meaningful.
The response was incredible. We were blown away by the quality, originality and festive spirit shown across all submissions. Each piece told its own story, capturing the magic of Christmas in unique and inspiring ways.
From this outstanding selection, one design stood out. Created by Saniyah Wajid, the winning artwork captured the imagination of our team with its creativity, colour and festive detail. Her design, featuring a vibrant stadium scene framed by iconic candy canes, perfectly reflects the excitement, energy and joy that Christmas at Headingley is all about.
Saniyah’s artwork now takes pride of place within our Christmas brochure, becoming a central part of how we share our festive offering with guests. It’s a brilliant example of how fresh perspective and creative talent can shape the stories we tell.
This collaboration is something we are incredibly proud of. By working with local schools like Benton Park, we’re not only celebrating young talent but also strengthening our connection with the community that surrounds us.
