From Leeds Rhinos’ historic win over St Helens – their first home victory against Saints since 2017 – to hosting five ICC Women’s T20 World Cup matches, it was a month packed with unforgettable sporting moments.

WELCOMING THE WOMEN’S T20 WORLD CUP
June saw us host five international fixtures as part of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, bringing world-class cricket to Leeds and welcoming thousands of spectators to Headingley.
The tournament delivered outstanding entertainment, including England’s victory over Scotland, and highlighted the growing popularity of the women’s game.
Headingley Matchday Highlights:
- Over 25,000 spectators welcomed to Headingley
- 1,424 runs scored
- 170 fours struck
- 19 sixes hit
Beyond the action on the pitch, our hospitality teams delivered a tournament-scale operation, welcoming thousands of guests and showcasing the exceptional service for which Headingley is renowned.
Hospitality Highlights:
- 410 casual shifts worked throughout the tournament
- 1,200 hospitality covers served across four event days
- Nearly 7,000 pints of beer and cider served in hospitality areas
- Approximately 570 glasses of wine and prosecco served in hospitality areas

RHINOS CONTINUE THEIR IMPRESSIVE FORM
The atmosphere at Headingley was electric throughout June as Leeds Rhinos continued their rich vein of form in the Betfred Super League.
Supporters were treated to two standout home victories, including a memorable win against St Helens on 4 June – the Rhinos’ first home victory over Saints since 2017 – followed by another impressive performance against Hull KR on 26 June.
With glorious sunshine, passionate crowds and exciting rugby league on display, both fixtures perfectly demonstrated why Headingley remains one of the most iconic sporting venues in the country.
CELEBRATING THE NEXT GENERATION
June is always a special time of year for celebrations, and we were delighted to host a range of student proms and end-of-year events throughout the month.
From spectacular arrival experiences and themed décor to great food, entertainment and dance floors packed with students celebrating their achievements, it has been fantastic to welcome schools and colleges from across the region.
These events continue to reinforce Headingley Stadium as a go-to destination for proms, graduations and milestone celebrations, creating lasting memories for thousands of young people each year.
